lace up your running shoes… 18 months old

Our little man update:
-you love "chores" like wiping cabinets, vacuuming, dusting, helping dada do "projects"
-Love using a fork and spoon, will pretty much refuse to eat until i give you one.  the forks make me way nervous, but there's really no stopping you.
-You're a quick little guy, who loves to run and climb.  Your run is just about the sweetest little thing.
-wearing 18 month old clothes easily and we just bumped up to size 5 diapers, they are a little big…but they work
-you would rather point and say "uh" than talk, we are majorly working on this.  you can pretty much imitate anything, when you are in the mood.  if i ask you to "say ____" you will close your eyes and turn away, it's funny.  sorta.
-you do say "mama, dada, ball, bike, man-mo-wah (lawnmower), boodin-boodin (your name for things with motors), book, bye, pa, more, nana, naw, neigh-neigh, ba-ba, drink" all in your little baby way of saying it.  it's pretty sweet.
-you still love anything with wheels or a motor.  you try to sit on your tiny toy tractor to ride it.  you do yell out "bike" any time you see one
-when you are in the drivers seat of our car, you try to turn the key, push the garage remote and pull the gear shifter all within seconds of getting there…YIKES
-you are pretty good about following directions, once again, when you are in the mood.  you can take your dirty clothes to the hamper.  you are also VERY helpful with clean laundry.  you like to rip the clean clothes off the couch and carry them to the kitchen and stuff them in the drawer with the dish towels.  it's not uncommon for my underwear and pajamas to be in the drawer in the kitchen.  no one be alarmed.
-we had your 18 month check up, you weighed 25 lbs, 25th percentile for height, 65th for weight and 95th for head circumference
-you got 3 shots, you cried hard, and i pulled out a snack and you stopped immediately and just started eating
-you still like to check people out for awhile before you decide if they are ok, every now and then there is someone you warm up to immediately.  i like that you check things out first.

Our summer at this age has been so fun, some highlight have been:
-going swimming and playing with Sadler
-playing at Mamaw's with Wyatt and Hadleigh
-going to Branson with Riley and Lena Beth
-driving the boat at the lake
-catching the ice cream truck for a treat
-going to build a bear
-staying overnight at Pa and Susu's in June
-staying overnight with Mamaw while momma was in NYC
